What type of paint do industrial manufacturers like CAT, John Deere, Ditch Witch use on their equipment?

We are a small manufacturer of drilling machines. The paint we currently using dries too long, chips easily and does not last very long compared to the above mentioned companies who's equipment still has a full good looking coat of paint after years of work. What type paints or additives do they use? What type of paint do industrial manufacturers like CAT, John Deere, Ditch Witch use on their equipment?
They use a urethane enamel with a catalyst/hardener. Dupont Imron was the industry standard for years on machinery and aircraft. For your purposes an acrylic enamel with hardener, applied in thick coats over an acid washed and primed substrate will work nicely.A visit to the auto paint supply store should be in order here, but be advised that this stuff isn't cheap. What type of paint do industrial manufacturers like CAT, John Deere, Ditch Witch use on their equipment?
Where applicable, you might consider a commercial hot powder coating facility for many of the parts. It's much more durable and nicer looking than paint.
